One Degree was commissioned to design and produce an award for the Australian International Design Awards. The award was first produced in 2007 and then made again for the 2008 awards.  The Award for Excellence in Sustainable Design was hand-crafted from recycled and reclaimed timbers. Over time, each of the timbers were ethically sourced from the 6 states and 2 territories of Australia, symbolically making this a truly national Award. All energy consumed in its production was carbon offset to complete its story of sustainability. The final awards were beautifully made by Ravi Avasti of Avasti Design (www.avasti.com.au)
